Flowvent Clean Air & Dirt Separators
The flowvent clean air & dirt separator removes both air and dirt from water systems. During the installation of a new system, dirt will accumulate, and once the system is operational, scale and particles from corrosion produced by entrained air will accumulate.
Instead of individual air and dirt separators, the integrated devices are both efficient and cost effective. Air and Dirt separators should be used in both heating and cooling systems. In a heating system the unit should be installed in the flow loop, sited immediately after the boiler but before the pump. In a chilled system the unit must be located in the return loop close to the chiller. The flow velocity should be less than 1.5m/s. If the flow velocity is above 1.5m/s, efficiency will be reduced.
